Our classrooms are equipped with developmentally appropriate toys, as well as posters listing the developmental milestones for that particular age group. Our staff uses the milestones for their age group to help them develop activities that are appropriate for their class. The milestone posters are also there for parents to see and get an idea of where their child should be in their development.
The staff at Special Kare have opportunities to work with many exceptionalities, including: Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, EMH/BEH/TMH, Spina Bifida, ADHD/ADD, DD, Communication Delays, Hearing Impaired, and General Developmental Delays
Kindergarten readiness is important for all Special Kare children, regardless of developmental delays. Five year olds graduating from our program will have the skills necessary to move into a kindergarten setting, whether for special needs or non-challenged children.
Our current curriculum consists of Chubbie Cubbies Curriculum, A Beka, The Big Preschool Workbook, and various other activity booklets. Our classes also use a Bible based curriculum each week with their students, teaching Bible stories and songs to the children.

Special Kare exists to provide a quality preschool experience for all children, ages 0-5 years. We believe that Special Kare is a Ministry and as such, Christ is the center of our preschool teaching. All children are taught about the saving love of God through Jesus Christ. |
